Oster 3167

After a lot of searching and research, I took the plunge and purchased an Oster 3167 juicer from a brick and mortar store because I wanted to dabble in natural juices for my family.
After thirteen months of heavy use, I absolutely believe it was a smart purchase for my family.
My family loves to use it for all kinds of juices and we have been fortunate to find plenty of recipes on the Internet.
My personal favorite is a strawberry and banana mixture while my son, surprisingly, enjoys a mixture of apple, pineapple, and ginger. Prior to the juicer, my son would have nothing to do with a pineapple.
My daughter actually enjoys a carrot and strawberry concoction we found through Google.
The container holds 34 ounces of juice at one time which is an amazing capacity for a juicer.
It is also very quiet when in use.
The four hundred and fifty watt motor has more than enough power to use the toughest fruits and vegetables. It also has a wide-mouth chute, so you can put entire fruits and vegetables in the juicer instead of having to chop the fruits and vegetables up into smaller pieces.

The kids really enjoy the juicer as well because it is safe enough for them to use while supervised.
This juicer has a convenient safety locking arm for safe operation by adults and by children.
Cleaning this juicer is actually quite easy. The wide-mouth chute is easy to remove for cleaning. The pulp collection container is see-through, so it is easy to tell when the container needs to be emptied out. All of the parts are easy to disassemble for cleaning and easy to put back together after cleaning.
There are not that many parts to clean and the parts are dishwasher safe as well.
The key is to clean the unit right away after use.

One thing that could be better is the actual juice extraction. On occasion, I will have to run the fruit or vegetable through again to squeeze that last drop out because the pulp will still feel a little wet after the first run. However, it's only because I like to make sure I get every last drop out of my fruit and veggies. T

The Oster 3167 juicer is backed by a one year warranty but I have not had to send it off for repair.
